Reviewed: Jordan Craig "OG Tulsa" Twill Short — Jet Black
Share
This is the piece we stock deepest, and it is worth saying why: it is a black short that goes with everything, at a price where owning two is not a decision.
Twill, not denim
Worth being precise, because black twill and black denim photograph identically. This is twill — a tighter, smoother weave with less body than denim. It drapes rather than holds its shape, it is lighter in heat, and it takes the shredding differently: the frays are softer and finer than they would be on denim.
That is also why it files under Shorts rather than Jorts on the site.
The distressing
Horizontal shredded bands across both thighs, front and back, with the fabric backed underneath rather than left open. It looks destroyed and stays decent — you are not showing leg through the rips. The hem is cut raw and will fray a little more in the first few washes, then settle.
Fit
Sits at the natural waist, straight through the thigh, ending just below the knee. Not a slim short and not a baggy one. Nine sizes, 30 through 44, and it runs true.
The length is the useful part — plenty of shorts in this category stop mid-thigh, which limits what you can wear them with.
Who it's for
Anyone who needs a black bottom half for warm weather. It is quiet enough to sit under a loud tee and distressed enough not to look plain. If you want the short to be the statement, the Politics Leo 500 with the rhinestones is the one — this is deliberately the supporting piece.
9 sizes. $59.99.
