Reviewed: KDNK SK103 Everyday Skinny Jean

Most of the denim wall is doing something — rhinestones, rips, stacked hems, paint. This one is not, and that is the entire point of it.

What it is

A light-to-mid blue skinny jean with a soft whiskering through the thigh, no distressing, no hardware and no logo anywhere you can see it. Five pockets, standard rise, a small taper from the knee down. It is the jean you own so that the rest of the fit has room to be interesting.

The wash is the part worth paying for. It is faded through the thigh and front of the knee the way denim fades from being worn, rather than the aggressive sandblast pattern you get at this price from most brands.

Fit

Skinny, but a modern skinny — slim through the knee and calf, not painted on. There is stretch in the fabric, so it moves. It breaks once at the ankle and sits on the shoe instead of stacking over it, which is why it works with a low-top where a stacked jean does not.
