Reviewed: Politics "Lew" Rhinestone Ski Mask Tee

Rhinestone graphics usually mean a logo picked out in stones. This is a full illustration built from them, and the difference in effort is obvious the moment you see it in person.

The graphic

A face in a black knit balaclava, printed on white, with the entire knit texture of the mask picked out in individual silver stones — hundreds of them, following the ribbing. The eyes are drawn with lashes, the mouth is a red-lipped grin, and stones scatter outward from the mask across the chest and over the shoulder like they have come loose.

That scatter is the detail that makes it. Without it the graphic would sit on the shirt like a sticker; with it, the print and the garment belong to each other.

The cut

Boxy and cropped-ish — wide through the body, short sleeves, a hem that sits at the top of the hip. On the model it wears loose with a clear drop shoulder. The back is entirely plain apart from a small Politics mark below the collar.

Care, honestly

Stones on a white tee need thinking about. Wash inside out, cold, on its own, and hang it to dry. Never a dryer — heat is what releases the settings, and a tumble is what knocks them off. Treated properly this lasts years; treated like a plain tee it will shed.

Who it's for

Someone building a fit around a top for once. It needs a plain bottom half and nothing else competing — no stones on the jean, no allover print. White is also the harder colour to keep, so if you want the same energy in something more forgiving, the black Narcan tee is the answer.
