The fake-team jersey is a well-worn idea in streetwear and most attempts are lazy — a logo slapped on a blank. This one commits to the bit.
The design
Black body with white and grey mesh shoulders and sleeves, cut like an American football practice jersey with a V-neck and a black collar. Front: SHATTERED arched over a big 94, with CHAMPIONS underneath. Back: HEARTS over the same 94, numbers on both sleeves, and a row of small marks along the hem — a trademark symbol, a heart, a star.
Split across front and back it reads SHATTERED HEARTS, 94 CHAMPIONS. That is a nicer piece of design than it needed to be.
The mesh
Genuine open mesh through the shoulders and sleeves, not a printed mesh effect. It breathes, which makes this one of the few things in the shop that is actually comfortable in a Louisiana summer, and it means you will want something underneath — a white tee is the obvious answer and looks right.
Fit
Boxy and generous, as a jersey should be. Six sizes. Take your normal size; it is already cut loose and sizing up turns it into a dress. The mesh has no stretch, so the shape you see is the shape you get.
Who it's for
Anyone who wants a layer rather than another tee. It works over a white or black tee, with denim or a twill short, and the black-and-white palette means it does not fight anything. It is also the single easiest way to add a second layer without adding heat.
6 sizes. $79.99.
