Reviewed: Syndicate "Narcan" Race Track Tee

Two graphics, two completely different jobs. The front is an image; the back is a document.
The graphics
Front: a greyscale doberman's head, snarling, rendered in a high-contrast halftone that looks like a photocopy of a photocopy — with NARCAN in distressed white type beneath it. It is aggressive and it is meant to be.
Back: a full-width race ticket. Number 327, SYNDICATE RACE TRACK, ROW 09, a date, a bin number, and NO MINORS — MUST BE 18 along the bottom. The joke lands because it is complete; it reads as a real object rather than a slogan.
The cut
Boxy, and properly so. Wide through the body, short wide sleeves, a shallow drop shoulder and a hem that sits at the hip rather than below it. Laid flat it is nearly square. This is the cut that makes a back graphic work — a fitted tee bends the print around your ribs; a boxy one keeps it flat and legible.
Heavy cotton with enough weight to hang rather than cling.
Sizing
Seven sizes. It is cut boxy, so take your normal size for the intended look — sizing up gives you a tee that reaches mid-thigh and loses the shape. If you want it fitted, this is the wrong tee entirely.
Who it's for
Someone who wants the tee to be the piece. Wear it with a plain black bottom — the twill short or a quiet skinny jean — because the back print is doing enough. Two graphics on one body is one too many.
7 sizes. $89.99.
